Job Description
- Review and validate mechanical design drawings and documents received from consultants or clients.
- Prepare and coordinate detailed shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination drawings (HVAC, firefighting, plumbing).
- Issue and manage mechanical material submittals and method statements for consultant/client approval.
- Participate in technical reviews and coordination meetings with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.), and quality standards.
- Coordinate closely with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines for conflict resolution and smooth integration.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare or verify mechanical BOQs in alignment with project budget and contracts.
- Provide technical support to the procurement team by reviewing supplier quotations and technical data sheets.
- Follow up on RFIs and manage design clarifications with consultants and clients.
- Support the planning and project control teams by providing technical input during project scheduling and progress reporting.
- Monitor and control the engineering deliverables schedule to ensure timely submissions.
- Supervise and guide junior engineers or draftsmen in preparing technical documents.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role in the construction or contracting sector.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, and drainage systems.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and MS Office.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
