Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive to join our freight forwarding team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets in logistics and freight forwarding services, including sea freight, air freight, land transport, and customs clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in freight forwarding and logistics.
- Manage and grow existing client accounts through regular follow-ups and relationship building.
- Understand clients’ shipping needs and provide tailored solutions in sea, air, and land freight.
- Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and service agreements to customers.
- Negotiate rates, contracts, and terms with clients while ensuring profitability.
- Coordinate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to identify new opportunities.
- Represent the company at networking events, trade fairs, and industry exhibitions.
- Maintain accurate sales records and provide regular reports to management.
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding (Air, Sea, Land) and logistics operations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Customer-focused with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
- Good understanding of Incoterms, customs clearance procedures, and trade compliance.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of sales experience in freight forwarding or logistics.
- Established client network in the shipping and logistics industry is an advantage.
- Intermediate in English (written & spoken); additional languages are a plus.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel locally/regionally.
