Fleet Maintenance Manager – Heavy Vehicles | Mercedes Trucks | Quarry Operations
Location: Alexandria
Employment Type: Full-time
We’re looking for a Fleet Maintenance Manager to take charge of our diverse fleet, including Mercedes trucks, trailers, concrete mixers, and quarry vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the maintenance department, overseeing engineers and technicians.
- Ensure all fleet assets are maintained, repaired, and serviced in accordance with OEM guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Track and report on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and implement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance reliability.
- Analyze fleet performance using telematics and fleet management systems to predict maintenance needs and improve uptime.
- Oversee vendor relationships, negotiate maintenance contracts, and manage third-party service providers.
- Handle warranty claims and coordinate with OEMs for repair resolutions.
Job Requirements
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in the maintenance of Mercedes-Benz trucks.
- Strong background in fleet management with a focus on heavy vehicles.
- Experience working in quarry operations is highly preferred.
- Exposure to concrete mixers maintenance is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise systems is a plus.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a passion for operational excellence.
