Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Team & Operations Management:
- Lead and supervise a team of engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely execution of maintenance schedules.
- Conduct regular technical training and performance evaluations for the maintenance team.
Generators & Gensets:
- Oversee maintenance and repair of diesel generators and control systems (e.g., Deep Sea, ComAp).
- Ensure effective troubleshooting, load testing, synchronization, and commissioning of gensets.
- Monitor generator efficiency, fuel consumption, and downtime trends to implement improvements.
Heavy Equipment Management:
- Supervise the inspection, servicing, and repair of heavy machinery such as forklifts, excavators, cranes, and trucks.
- Review diagnostics and ensure mechanical, hydraulic, and engine issues are resolved efficiently.
- Plan overhauls and major repairs, and monitor equipment lifecycle.
Planning & Compliance:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all assets.
- Maintain documentation and reporting for all maintenance activities, breakdowns, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Manage budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships.
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Improve maintenance processes, reduce equipment downtime, and extend asset life.
- Support project planning for new equipment procurement and installations.
- Provide technical leadership in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in maintenance of gensets, generators, and heavy equipment, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of generator brands (e.g., Cummins, Perkins, FG Wilson) and heavy machinery (e.g., CAT, Komatsu, JCB).
- Familiarity with maintenance planning tools and CMMS systems.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, technical teams, and multi-site maintenance activities.
- Strong troubleshooting and decision-making abilities.
