Job Description

  • MEP Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in the mall, ensuring efficient operation and safety. 
  • This role involves collaborating with contractors, maintenance teams, and other departments to provide reliable systems that meet the specific requirements of a commercial environment, including HVAC, electrical distribution, and water supply. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in MEP systems within high-traffic facilities.

System Design and Maintenance:

  • Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance for all MEP systems to ensure reliability and safety for tenants and visitors.
  • Use software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to manage and document MEP systems.

Operational Efficiency and Troubleshooting:

  • Identify and address issues in real-time to minimize disruptions to mall operations.
  • Perform energy audits and recommend improvements for greater efficiency and sustainability.
  • Respond promptly to system breakdowns, assessing and resolving issues to reduce downtime.

Project Coordination and Implementation:

  • Collaborate with mall management, contractors, and vendors to coordinate MEP work and upgrades.
  • Assist in planning and managing MEP-related capital improvement projects, ensuring compliance with codes and project specifications.
  • Oversee contractor work to ensure adherence to mall standards, schedules, and safety protocols.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all MEP systems comply with local, national, and industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct quality control reviews and risk assessments to maintain a safe environment for visitors and tenants.
  • Prepare and maintain records, logs, and reports for compliance and operational review.

Job Requirements

  • From 3 to 7 years of experience
