Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
-Review and modify MEP shop drawings for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
-Ensure coordination between MEP systems and civil/architectural disciplines.
-Conduct clash detection using BIM tools (e.g., Navisworks).
-Prepare technical submittals for materials, equipment, and systems.
-Develop and update as-built drawings, method statements, and inspection requests.
-Handle RFIs (Requests for Information) with consultants and clients.
-Prepare material take-offs and BOQs in coordination with the site team.
-Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure material availability as per schedule.
-Support the planning team with MEP activities and update progress reports.
-Monitor compliance with MEP standards, codes, and safety regulations.
-Coordinate with site engineers for the smooth execution of MEP works.
-Attend technical meetings with consultants, subcontractors, and project managers.
-Provide technical advice to resolve design or execution problems on-site.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical technical office work in construction companies is a Must.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC).
Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
