Job Description
- Prepare and review MEP shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings in alignment with project specifications and standards.
- Coordinate between mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines, as well as with architectural and structural teams, to avoid conflicts.
- Analyze project drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with design intent.
- Manage the submission and approval of materials, drawings, RFIs, and other technical documentation.
- Quantify and prepare material take-offs and bills of quantities (BOQs) for MEP works.
- Provide technical support to the site team and resolve any MEP-related issues that arise during execution.
- Ensure MEP designs are compliant with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Participate in technical meetings with consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Track and update logs for MEP submissions, approvals, and changes.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports, method statements, and procurement requests.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in MEP technical office work, preferably with a contractor or consultancy.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other relevant software (e.g., Navisworks, Dialux, HAP).
- Strong understanding of mechanical (HVAC, firefighting, plumbing) and electrical (power, lighting, low current) systems.
- Familiarity with local codes and international standards (ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines..
