Job Description
- Lead the mechanical BIM modeling process from design through construction stages, ensuring compliance with project requirements and BIM standards.
- Manage and coordinate mechanical BIM models with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines to resolve clashes and ensure constructability.
- Develop, review, and maintain Revit families, project templates, and coordinate site setup files.
- Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or similar tools; prepare and distribute clash reports.
- Oversee BIM quality control and validation for mechanical models, ensuring accuracy and completeness up to LOD 400/500.
- Collaborate closely with offshore teams and project managers to support project delivery plans and BIM guidelines.
- Provide technical support and training to junior BIM engineers and project personnel.
- Prepare project documentation including drawings, specifications, schedules, and submittal logs.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to address BIM-related queries and RFIs.
- Maintain BIM revision logs and ensure proper documentation and version control.
- Support quantity take-offs and material planning based on BIM models.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 6-9 years of professional experience in mechanical BIM engineering, preferably with international projects.
- Strong expertise in Autodesk Revit for mechanical systems, including advanced family creation and model management.
- Proficient in BIM coordination workflows, clash detection (Navisworks), and BIM standards (ISO 19650).
- Experience with mechanical systems design (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) and integration in BIM models.
- Familiarity with US building codes and standards is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to coordinate with US-based clients and teams.
- Ability to lead and mentor BIM teams, manage multiple models, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of additional software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM 360 is an advantage.
- Willingness to work from our Dokki office with flexible coordination hours to align with US time zones.
