Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Account Manager to oversee logistics operations with a focus on driver management, dispatch coordination, and assignment of deliveries. The role requires excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills to ensure drivers are scheduled efficiently, deliveries are completed on time, and customers receive high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily scheduling, dispatching, and assignment of drivers to ensure efficient delivery operations.
- Act as the main point of contact between drivers, clients, and internal teams, resolving issues and ensuring smooth operations.
- Monitor driver performance, routes, and delivery times to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with customers to confirm delivery requirements, timelines, and special requests.
- Maintain accurate records of driver schedules, delivery logs, and client communications.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements related to transportation and logistics.
- Handle driver recruitment, onboarding, and training in collaboration with HR and operations teams.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time deliveries, fuel usage, and driver productivity.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing excellent account management and problem resolution.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or fleet management.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software, dispatch systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of local transportation regulations and safety standards.
