Job Description
*Lead the technical team in all the projects (including all services mentioned above) covering the following details:
- Co-Lead the client’s kick-off meetings together with the technical manager.
- Develop the detailed work plan of the project and identify the number of mandays of each team member.
- Guide the technical team in all the project steps in office and field, conduct continuous follow-up with them about the progress, and work closely with them to debottleneck any challenges.
- Review the work of the technical team including all calculations, documents and conduct all the required technical and linguistic quality checks.
- Act as the company’s key technical focal point.
- Ensure that all assigned tasks are fully accomplished and meet deadlines.
- Immediately report to supervisor possible delays in the execution of projects or in the performance of assigned tasks and propose remedial actions.
- Conduct quarterly evaluation to the technical team members.
- Prepare a weekly updated progress report and communicate it with the Energy Department Manager.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of proven practical work experience in energy consulting (candidates whose experience are only in the implementation of solar systems; conventional power generation are not eligible).
- Teaching Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Energy engineering courses at universities is a very strong asset.
- Holding energy management certificates is a plus (e.g. CEM, CEA, CEMP, EUREM, ….).
- Proven Experience with identification of energy conservation opportunities in the HVAC, compressed air systems, motor system optimization, Lighting, and boiler systems ...etc. (certificate from the UNIDO IEE project is a plus).
- Mechanical or Chemical or Electrical Engineer or Energy Engineer with an overall grade of “good” at least.
- Solid background about energy efficiency and renewable energy.
- Perfectionist in developing high-quality deliverables.
- Passion towards the renewable energy and sustainability.
- Passion towards contribution to the company’s growth.
- Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with customers, regulatory officials, and co-workers regarding technical and administrative matters.
- Excellent team leading skills.
- Good organizational skills and a goal-oriented approach to task completion.
- Fluent English both in writing and speaking.
- Willing to travel inside/outside Egypt.
