Understanding how to read and translate the information found within PLC code, Schematic wiring, Ladder and P&ID process diagrams (ABB PLC)
Understanding PLC, HMI, VFD’s , Servo, Sensors, Instrumentation and industrial control systems, including advanced programming techniques and configurations.
Installing electrical components and wiring systems. After installing equipment, tests to ensure all devices are working properly and safely.
Possessing knowledge and applying safe electrical work practices including LOTO.
Observing and testing the operation of systems and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters, process meters, network analyzers and other testing devices.
Providing effective advanced trouble shooting support, following best practices for safety and fault isolation.
Demonstrates equipment functions and features to machine operators in an effective communication way.
Performing troubleshooting and repairing or modifying with minimal manufactures specifications and documentation.
Executing the maintenance work schedule as provided by direct supervisor.
Continuously maintaining proficiency in Automation and controls systems.
Gaining complete knowledge of plant's processes and packaging systems.
Making recommendations for system improvements.
Possessing an understanding of calibration procedures for process instruments, which measure temperature, pressure, flow, level and composition, along with an understanding of process controls and troubleshooting.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
3 to 5 years of experience in maintenance within industrial environment.
Experience in Cement Industry is a great advantage.
Technical experience in ABB PLC is mandatory.
Good experience in performing maintenance for gas analyzers, sensors (vibration, pressure, flow, level, etc..), PLC ABB 800xA system, AC800M Controller (PM861, PM864 & PM 866), and type of communication (Mod Bus, Profibus, etc..).
Good working knowledge of data network, switches, routers and servers.
Good skills in industrial networks troubleshooting, including Ethernet, Device NET, Control NET, and others.
Good skills of communication, team work, and problem solving.
Good commands of English language.
