Job Description

Job Purpose:

Responsible for supporting the empowerment of students and alumni by providing guidance on career pursuing skills, helping in learning career tackling tools, facilitating networking with industry professionals, linking them to internship and job opportunities that match their interests and goals, and advising them to initiate their professional journey. 

 

Job Accountabilities:

  • Handles career advising meeting with students and alumni to guide them through their career initiation stage.
  • Provides guidance on creating resumes, and cover letters, and hosts “CV writing” workshop with professionals for ESLSCA students and alumni.
  • Arranges for interviewing simulations and “interview preparation” workshops to help students build confidence during potential interview appointments and advance their interviewing skills.
  • Builds strong relationships with employers, alumni, faculty, and staff to expand the range of internship and job opportunities available to students.
  • Collaborates with employers, industry professionals and partners, and alumni to identify internship and job opportunities suitable for ESLSCA students and alumni.
  • Develops comprehensive internship/ job postings that accurately reflect the requirements and expectations of potential employers.
  • Handles posting internships and jobs on the University website to facilitate matching students & alumni to suitable opportunities. 
  • Attends career fairs, networking events to stay updated for opportunities within various sectors.
  • Organizes and manages university career fairs, connecting students and alumni directly with a diverse range of employers and facilitating on-campus recruitment opportunities.

 

Job Requirements

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any relevant field.
  • Experience:
  •   One to Three years of experience in career advising, or any similar role.
  •   Previous experience in an educational institute/ University is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and engage with diverse student populations.
  • Excellent networking skills and maintaining ongoing relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent level of English language.
  • Working Conditions
  •   Five days a week
