Job Description
- Achieve the company targets in terms of Cost saving (PPV), Payment facilities.
- Ensure implementation of the company / purchasing policies (Purchasing policy / Procedure, Code of Conducts, conflict of interest, Separation of duties and Extr…..) within the DM & IDM team.
- Execute actions to achieve, secure and exceed the budgeted savings.
- Reviewing purchase orders and ensuring that they are in line with company policies and procedures.
- Following up with vendors/ Contractors to ensure that orders are delivered on time and within budget parameters.
- Coordinating with internal departments to ensure that orders are processed correctly.
- Analyzing costs and recommending ways to reduce expenses by identifying opportunities for process improvement or technology enhancement.
- Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers who can meet the company’s needs.
- Day-to-day liaising and support of planning and other functions in relation to their respective tasks.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing and resource planning systems
