Job Description
Responsible for the maintenance and smooth functioning of filament winding machines, hydraulic extractors, curing ovens, Siemens CNC controllers, CNC drilling and milling machines, cutting and sanding machines, and paint booths with dryers.
Repairing faults in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems across all production equipment.
Ensuring that breakdowns are attended to in a timely manner to avoid production losses, and implementing prompt corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Implementing a comprehensive Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) system, ensuring accurate scheduling and execution.
Conducting preventive maintenance in line with the PPM system to maximize equipment availability.
Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, including both breakdown and preventive tasks, ensuring service history, checklists, and repair logs are up to date.
Monitoring critical spare parts inventory, ensuring availability of key components, and coordinating procurement with suppliers, including liaising with manufacturers and service providers for technical support, upgrades, and repairs.
Preparing and regularly updating a spare parts criticality matrix to classify components by risk, lead time, and functional importance.
Carrying out machinery risk assessments to identify potential failure modes, safety hazards, and maintenance priorities.
Developing and executing condition improvement plans for underperforming or critical equipment based on inspection findings, performance trends, and feedback.
Ensuring safe systems of work are in place, such as lock-out/tag-out, permit-to-work, and confined space entry procedures where applicable.
Promoting and enforcing strict adherence to site health, safety, and environmental standards.
Leading root cause analyses and implementing corrective and preventive actions for major breakdowns or recurring issues.
Ensuring compliance with ISO, legal, and regulatory standards relevant to maintenance and safety.
Ensuring that contractors working on-site follow all HSE procedures and are properly inducted and supervised.
Monitoring and improving housekeeping standards on the production floor, and maintaining cleanliness and organization at all times.
Coordinating with other departments to support production targets and continuous plant improvement projects.
Identifying skill gaps, proposing relevant training plans, and supporting the technical development of production operators.
Supporting the site management team in achieving plant performance targets, availability KPIs, and cost-efficiency goals.
Assisting in the installation, commissioning, relocation, and integration of new or relocated equipment.
Demonstrating strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills to manage maintenance tasks efficiently and provide guidance to others when needed.
