Job Description
1. QHSE Policy & Strategy Development
- Develop, implement, and maintain QHSE policies and procedures in line with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards.
- Define QHSE objectives, KPIs, and improvement plans across all sites.
- Ensure QHSE strategy supports TEPCO's manufacturing operations and growth plans.
2. Multi-site QHSE Management
- Oversee and unify QHSE practices across all manufacturing facilities.
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure uniform implementation.
- Lead site QHSE officers, providing guidance and technical support.
3. Quality Management
- Implement and monitor quality management systems (QMS) to ensure product compliance with customer and regulatory standards.
- Support production and engineering teams in root cause analysis and corrective actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
- Manage internal quality audits and coordinate third-party audits (e.g., ISO, customer audits).
4. Health & Safety Compliance
- Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement controls in production, maintenance, and logistics areas.
- Lead investigations of workplace incidents, injuries, and near misses.
- Promote a safety-first culture among workers, engineers, and supervisors.
5. Environmental Management
- Monitor waste handling, emissions, noise, and energy usage to ensure environmental compliance.
- Develop and implement environmental sustainability initiatives across sites.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance with environmental legislation.
6. Training and Awareness
- Design and deliver QHSE induction and ongoing training for staff at all levels.
- Raise awareness through toolbox talks, safety campaigns, and quality workshops.
- Coach managers and engineers on their roles in QHSE compliance.
7. Emergency Preparedness & Response
- Develop emergency plans for fire, electrical faults, chemical spills, and other incidents.
- Conduct drills and coordinate emergency response teams across sites.
- Ensure safety systems (alarms, extinguishers, evacuation plans) are maintained.
8. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain records and documentation required for QHSE compliance and audits.
- Monitor and report QHSE performance indicators to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety, environmental impact, and product quality.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Safety) – Mandatory.
- Successfully set up and implemented HSE systems previously from scratch is MUST - MANDATORY.
- Certifications: NEBOSH, OSHA is a MUST.
- Certifications: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 – Preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of QHSE experience in manufacturing, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in managing multi-site QHSE systems in industrial or electrical sectors.
