Job Description
The HSE Manager is responsible for making sure the workplace is safe, healthy, and environmentally friendly. This role ensures that all safety rules are followed and helps prevent accidents or harmful situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and apply health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Make sure the company follows local laws and safety regulations.
- Check the workplace for risks and take action to fix them.
- Investigate accidents or near misses and find out why they happened.
- Provide safety training for employees and promote a safety-first culture.
- Organize emergency plans and regular safety drills.
- Monitor and report on safety performance and improvements.
- Lead the HSE team and support other departments on safety matters.
Job Requirements
- Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Safety, or similar.
- Certification in HSE (like NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience in a safety role, with some experience leading a team.
- Good knowledge of safety laws and procedures.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
