Job Description

  • Growing sales of our companies’ strategic products throughout Egypt, through forming alliances and partnerships with selective clients.

The position will require management of a broad range of functions and areas for Terraco Group’s Egypt operations, including but not limited to: 

  • Study key market segments to ensure that the market is properly covered.
  • Explore and develop present and new export markets for direct sales.
  • Establish new distributor partnerships.
  • Explore new OEM opportunities.
  • Coordinate marketing requirements with Marketing Department. 
  • Conduct - in liaison with marketing department - detailed market research to identify potential new sales channels and evaluate the best products and pricing models for these markets and clients.
  • Keep abreast of market conditions and competitor intelligence and be proactive in all areas of responsibility.
  • Coordinate with the nearest group factories to coordinate pricing and logistics of the products.
  • Coordinate with other departments within the company, including administration, accounting, logistics and technical teams at all stages of tendering, negotiation, and during the installation of systems or products.
  • Regular meetings and reporting to the General Manager on strategy, opportunities and progress. 

Other duties as required. 

Job Requirements

Required Characteristics 

  • A proven track record in sales / sales administration / marketing with minimum 5 years’ experience in coatings, paints, EIFS, construction chemicals or drymix required.
  • Cairo resident.
  • Own a car.
  • Strong commercial / financial awareness and negotiation skills. 
  • Well organized, presentable with good interpersonal and presentation skills. 
  • Ambitious, dynamic, hands-on attitude required.
  • Capable of working autonomously. 
  • Written and spoken English fluency is a must. Knowledge of additional European languages will be an added advantage. 
  • Familiarity with CRMs an added advantage. 

 

Miscellaneous

  • The Business Development Manager will report to the general manager. 
  • The position will be based in Cairo.
  • Travel will be required.
