Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the warehouse, ensuring optimal storage, inventory accuracy, and seamless flow of goods. This role is pivotal in maintaining operational efficiency, enforcing safety standards, optimizing resources, and leading a high-performing team to meet business objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse operations, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement warehouse strategies that support business growth and supply chain efficiency.
- Lead end-to-end warehouse operations, including inbound logistics, storage, inventory control, outbound dispatching, and reverse logistics.
- Develop and monitor warehouse KPIs to ensure operational excellence, cost control, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with supply chain planning, procurement, production, and transport teams to ensure optimal flow of materials.
- Introduce automation tools and digital transformation initiatives (e.g., WMS upgrades, barcode/RFID systems) to enhance warehouse visibility and performance.
- Lead a team of supervisors, and warehouse staff with a focus on coaching, succession planning, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and implement a zero-incident culture within the facility.
- Oversee annual and monthly inventory counts with high accuracy and investigate variances through root cause analysis.
- Manage warehouse layout, space utilization, and capital investments in racking, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Establish contingency plans for risk mitigation related to supply disruption, seasonal peaks, or emergencies.
- Prepare reports and present data-driven insights to senior management for operational and strategic decision-making.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably within FMCG or 3PL environments.
- Proven leadership experience in managing teams and warehouse functions at a senior level.
- In-depth knowledge of modern WMS, ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics, Oracle), and automation technologies Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive informed decision-making.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, proactive management style.
