Job Description
Operations Management:
Supervise day-to-day operations of external coldstore facilities.
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt.
Monitor stock levels, inventory movements, and coldstore capacity utilization.
Ensure all operational SOPs are followed by third-party coldstore providers.
Optimize storage layout and handling procedures to maximize efficiency and minimize damage or loss.
Quality Control:
Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure product integrity.
Conduct regular audits and inspections of external coldstores to assess temperature control, hygiene, product handling, and compliance with quality standards.
Maintain records of product quality, storage conditions, and inspection results.
Address quality issues in coordination with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments.
Supplier & Vendor Management:
Manage relationships with external coldstore service providers.
Evaluate and select third-party coldstores based on compliance, service quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Negotiate service level agreements and ensure contractual obligations are met.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, GMP, etc.).
Ensure all health, safety, and environmental regulations are strictly followed.
Report any incidents, deviations, or non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate documentation of storage conditions, stock records, and operational reports.
Provide regular reports on performance metrics, quality issues, and improvement plans.
Job Requirements
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Food Technology, Agriculture, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in coldstore operations, preferably in the food or FMCG sector.
Strong knowledge of cold chain management, inventory systems, and quality control practices.
Familiar with national and international food safety standards.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Office and warehouse management systems (WMS).
