Job Description
- Working with Factory development manager to apply concepts of lean manufacturing.
- Follow-up development projects and performance of manufacturing operations.
- Assisting in the required measurements and calculating production rates.
- Acting as a change agent in the organization by driving change and implementing continuous improvement processes, while utilizing and improving existing methodologies.
- Using Lean Manufacturing tools (i.e., value stream mapping, Kaizen, 5S, Gemba walks, root cause problem solving) to identify and develop solutions that drive operational improvement.
- Coaching, guiding, empowering, and mentoring production supervisors in the use of Lean manufacturing tools.
- Collecting and analyzing data on plant processes, procedure, and performance using evaluation tools and make recommendations for improvement to Leadership Team.
- Auditing all established Lean Manufacturing processes to ensure sustainability.
- Coordinating the Kaizen Events.
- Performing time, motion and work method studies.
- Validating & designing shop floor layouts and facilities to optimize the best production flow with minimum cost.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering (Mechanical production).
- Previous experience in working in factories.
- Demonstrable knowledge of implementing lean manufacturing/continuous improvement.
- Six sigma green belt qualification would be desirable.
- Proficiency in usage of AutoCAD and other engineering programs & Office.
