Job Description
- Prepare Metering and Relaying Diagrams, calculations and determines the required protection and protective relays.
- Review protective relays settings for protection and control entire project.
- Develop load flow, short circuit analysis and relay coordination studies.
- Prepare Communication architectural block diagram.
- Develop detailed Bill of material for the Protection, Control and Metering devices with detailed ordering code.
- Install and program the metering system.
- Provide monthly reports on the metering system for the entire projects.
- Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT) of the Protection Control & metering system, when required.
- Provide technical support & troubleshooting including resolving site queries, attending site meetings and performing site inspections, as required.
- Record and perform the necessary calibration for the measuring/ testing devices.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university.
- To have 8-10 years’ experience in Protection, Control & Metering for Power plants, substations and distribution networks.
- Proficient in the use of modelling software (i.e. ETAP).
- A strong understanding of electrical theory, codes & standards of electrical systems.
- Knowledge of modern power systems, power system protection and relay technologies.
- Knowledge of metering systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- The ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
