Job Description

  • Oversee production processes to ensure compliance with product specifications and quality standards.
  • Implement quality inspection plans to ensure products meet the required quality standards.
  • Ensure that all manufactured products conform to the technical specifications and engineering drawings approved by the Research and Development (R&D) department.
  • Monitor and perform inspections and checks on samples and final products to ensure alignment with the engineering drawings provided by the R&D teams.
  • Verify that raw materials and components used in manufacturing adhere to the standards set by the R&D department for optimal product performance.
  • Collaborate closely with the R&D department to implement any design or specification updates in the production process.
  • Document any deviations or discrepancies between actual products and approved designs and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and tests on both local and imported raw materials to ensure their quality and suitability for the manufacturing process.
  • Verify that raw materials meet standard specifications and quality criteria required by the company, whether locally sourced or imported.
  • Work closely with local and international suppliers to ensure that imported raw materials meet the necessary technical and quality standards.
  • Perform periodic assessments of raw materials to ensure they meet production requirements and do not negatively impact the quality of final products.
  • Conduct tests on raw materials to ensure they can withstand different environmental conditions and are safe for use in production.
  • Document and report any issues or discrepancies found during the raw material inspection process that may affect production quality.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and analyze root causes of defects or issues in manufacturing.
  • Provide effective solutions for process improvements and defect reduction using improvement tools like Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Train production teams on quality standards and best practices in manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure that all employees are aware of the correct procedures to maintain product quality.
  • Review work procedures and design continuous improvement plans to ensure the highest quality standards.
  • Develop and update quality standards and procedures in line with advancements in manufacturing technologies.
  • Investigate any quality-related issues, such as product failures in testing or customer complaints.
  • Provide detailed analytical reports on the causes of defects and implement appropriate corrective actions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in quality engineering within the manufacturing sector, ideally in the lighting industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles (ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
  • Expertise in testing methods and quality control tools specific to the lighting manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in working with technical specifications and engineering drawings to ensure adherence during production.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
