Job Description
- Monitor glass production processes to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
- Conduct inspections and testing on raw materials, in-process glass sheets, and finished goods.
- Ensure full implementation of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems.
- Investigate defects such as optical distortion, scratches, bubbles, or edge defects; coordinate corrective actions with production teams.
- Record and analyze quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in customer complaints investigation and implement root cause analysis (5 Why, Fishbone).
- Maintain accurate documentation and update control plans, FMEAs, and work instructions specific to glass processes.
- Support audits (internal, customer, and certification) and always ensure audit readiness.
- Supervise the calibration and proper use of inspection tools (e.g., light boxes, laser measurement, stress meters).
- Collaborate with R&D and production for new product trials and validations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial)
- 2+ years of experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably in manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of quality standards and methodologies (ISO, IATF, SPC, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA).
- Proficient in quality tools and software (e.g., Minitab, SAP QM, or similar systems).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), Six Sigma Green Belt
