Job Description
- Design and develop mechanical components for MV switchgear or RMU, including enclosures, frames, busbar supports, and ventilation systems.
- Create detailed CAD models, technical drawings, and assembly instructions to guide manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Design ventilation systems and implement thermal management solutions to ensure that internal temperatures remain within safe operational limits.
- Perform thermal simulations to assess heat dissipation and optimize the design for efficient airflow and cooling.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, such as IEC, ANSI, and UL, and meet client specifications and local regulatory requirements.
- Conduct safety assessments and incorporate features to mitigate risks related to electrical faults, arc flash, and mechanical failure.
- Work closely with electrical engineers, project managers, application engineers and Industrial engineering teams to ensure that mechanical designs integrate seamlessly with electrical components.
Job Requirements
- Provide technical support during the manufacturing, assembly, and installation phases, troubleshooting mechanical issues and assisting with adjustments.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation, including design reports, material lists, assembly instructions, and maintenance guides.
- Maintain records of design revisions and support product lifecycle management (PLM) processes.
- Master SolidWorks software is mandatory.
- Very Good English level.
