Job Description
As a Document Controller at EMAK Contracting company, the Document Controller will be responsible for meticulously manage and maintain all of Engineering documentation, ensuring efficient and accurate information flow throughout the process. The primary duties will include the following responsibilities:
- Prepare and type a variety of logs, reports, and other Engineering documentation process.
- Ensure all documents are properly formatted, organized, and readily available for reference.
- Maintain a comprehensive filing system for Engineering documents, drawings, reports, and correspondence.
- Ensure all documents are securely stored, easily accessible, and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with the Engineering teams to identify and implement best practices for document control.
- Conduct regular audits of the document repository to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Implement document control procedures and maintain a robust version control system.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and other external stakeholders when necessary to obtain or provide Engineering-related information.
- Coordinate the distribution of Engineering documents and drawings to relevant parties.
- Provide administrative support and document-related assistance to the Engineering team.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports on the status of Engineering documents and the overall document control process.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or any relevant field
- 3-5 years of experience as a Document Controller or in a similar role
- Proficient in the use of document management software, spreadsheets, and other relevant applications
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of contracting industry processes, document control best practices, and relevant industry regulations
- Good command in English both written and verbal
