Job Description

  • Manage the full payroll process for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments while complying with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Analyze payroll data to identify errors or inefficiencies and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including salary adjustments, bonuses, and benefit changes. Administer employee benefits programs, ensuring all deductions and contributions are accurately calculated and processed.
  • Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Work with finance and HR departments to reconcile payroll data with company financials, leveraging analytical techniques to spot discrepancies or inefficiencies.
  • Generate detailed payroll reports for senior management, including labor cost analysis, tax liabilities, and other key metrics. Analyze payroll trends and provide actionable insights to improve payroll processes, cost management, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee the administration of payroll systems, ensuring they are fully optimized and up-to-date. Collaborate with IT and HR teams to troubleshoot issues, analyze system performance, and implement improvements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, providing clear and timely support to employees. Use data-driven insights to address issues related to pay discrepancies, tax questions, and benefit concerns.

Job Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.

Experience:

+3  years of experience in payroll management

Strong understanding of payroll systems and software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, SAP).

Extensive experience with tax regulations, payroll compliance, and reporting.

Experience with payroll audits and resolving discrepancies.

Skills:

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups, and data analysis functions.

Strong knowledge of payroll and tax laws, including payroll tax filings, deductions, and labor compliance.

Proficient in payroll software systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize processes.

Excellent analytical skills to identify payroll trends, errors, and inefficiencies.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.

Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Personal Attributes:

Proactive, with the ability to independently handle complex payroll issues.

Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing regulations or company needs.

Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service mindset when addressing employee payroll inquiries.
