Job Description
- Review client tender documents (specifications, drawings, BOQs) related to fire fighting and suppression systems.
- Prepare and develop technical proposals, including equipment sizing, hydraulic calculations, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with the design team to develop system layouts, material take-offs, and concept drawings.
- Prepare commercial proposals in coordination with the estimation and procurement teams.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards (NFPA, FM, UL, local codes).
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data required for accurate proposal development.
- Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, conduct cost comparisons, and prepare breakdown cost estimates.
- Support technical and commercial clarifications, and participate in client/supplier meetings as needed.
- Assist in preparing proposal documentation, presentations, and internal review materials.
- Track tender status, follow up on clarifications, and support contract handover to execution teams.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 1–4 years of experience in tendering or proposals for mechanical fire fighting systems
- Solid understanding of NFPA standards, FM/UL-listed equipment, and hydraulic design principles
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and hydraulic calculation software (e.g., Elite Fire, PipeNet)
- Experience in oil & gas, infrastructure, or industrial projects preferred
- Strong documentation and commercial acumen
