Responsibilities of a NPMC PM
We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to coordinate and lead efforts across operations, technology, program and global counterpart teams. This person will setup the NPMC function from scratch for MENA Ops. This person will have an analytical/data-driven problem solving approach and will be a strong people manager.
A Program Manager is expected to have deep functional knowledge, ability to design new program frameworks/processes and running defect reduction and performance improvement programs. This person should be proficient in identifying input and output metrics to gauge the success of their function. In this role, he/she will work with business and operations team to analyze historic results, challenge status quo and make business recommendations to senior management based on those analyses – all in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity. The Program Manager will drive improvements to the reporting tools, methods, and processes utilized by the team to increase the availability and granularity of actionable data to internal and external partners. The Program Manager will also lead a small team of Transportation Specialists to achieve centralized operations and will work towards on-boarding additional support for Ops while constantly improving productivity of the team.
The successful candidate must have very strong analytical skills and must be an expert in excel. Working knowledge of SQL and analytical platforms like R/Python would be an added advantage. He/she will be comfortable working with large volumes of data. He/she will have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, outstanding analytic insight, and be a passionate advocate of operations team to other stakeholders. He/she will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project-management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
Job Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
- 3+ yrs work experience in related fields
- Fluent with Arabic and English languages
- Role will be based out of Cairo and candidate must be comfortable with need based travel to Dubai and other MENA regions
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling positioning / messaging strategy and present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Expert in advanced excel and hands-on experience with SQL
- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Has managed critical operational processes, with end to end business responsibility.
- Demonstrated leadership with a bias towards action, supporting a culture of ownership and learning.
- Skilled in collaborative management environment, succeeding through regular meetings and clear formal and informal communication with members of the remote and local management teams.
- Strong understanding of process improvement techniques
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters or MBA from premier institution
- 3+ yrs work experience with at least 2 yrs of experience in Program/Operations management
- Fluent with Arabic and English languages
- At least 1 year of people management experience
- Strong Excel, SQL skills and hands-on exposure to platforms such as R/Python
- Experience leading teams which work on fixed SoPs
- Has a background in quantitative decision making, ability to drive business/operations metrics, and driving adoption of different tools and resources.
