Job Description
- Establish and evolve the PMO’s strategic vision, operating model, and delivery frameworks
- Define and enforce project governance, standards, and performance metrics
- Lead the prioritization process for projects and programs aligned with business goals
- Oversee the enterprise project portfolio, ensuring balance across strategic initiatives, capacity, and ROI
- Collaborate with Finance, HR, and Department Heads to manage project budgets, staffing, and capital allocation
- Identify resource constraints and recommend corrective actions to resolve bottlenecks
- Provide executive oversight of major programs and projects, ensuring delivery on scope, time, and budget
- Drive implementation of cross-functional initiatives, change efforts, and transformation programs
- Monitor and mitigate portfolio-level risks and interdependencies
- Lead and mentor a team of project managers, analysts, and coordinators
- Build internal project management capabilities through coaching, training, and tools
- Promote a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement
- Deliver regular executive updates on portfolio health, project KPIs, and risk status
- Provide data-driven insights to inform leadership decision-making
- Ensure transparency, consistency, and alignment across all levels of project stakeholders
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive experience in project/program management, including 5+ years leading a PMO
- Proven track record of managing large-scale portfolios and enterprise transformation programs
- Deep knowledge of project management frameworks (PMBOK, Agile, Hybrid, etc.)
- Experience with enterprise project tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Jira, Zoho Projects)
- PMP, PgMP, or PMI-ACP certification strongly preferred
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
