Job Description
- Actively engages with internal company team members on a routine basis
- Gains understanding and use of the Company’s Business Development process
- Participates in pursuit strategy development
- Writes and supports proposal process
- Participates in presentation preparation and coaching
- Represents Company in positive manner in the community
- Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
- Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
- Draw up client contracts - depending on the size of company, this task may be completed by someone else or agreements may not be as formal
- Seek ways of improving the way the business operates
- Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate
- Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world
Job Requirements
- An engineering qualification, Civil or Architectural Engineering Degree is required
- Construction experience is preferred
- Applicants should have a minimum of 10 years work experience, with at least 5 years spent in Business Development at a senior level
- Financial and negotiation skills are necessary
- Highly collaborative leadership style with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to ever-changing situations
- Must possess the ability to coach, mentor and lead a diverse staff to deliver best in class services to our clients
- Exhibit strong business acumen, skills and maturity and the ability to work effectively with other
- Highly developed organizational and planning skills
- Time management skills
- Strong communications skills (written/oral)
- Excellent English Language
