Job Description
- Represent UIS as the first point of contact in a professional, warm, friendly and efficient manner, providing reception support that meets the day to day requirements of the School
- Deliver, or organize for the delivery of, all operational actions associated with the School’s reception including:
- Mail management and distribution
- Responding to incoming telephone and email inquiries
- Dealing professionally with and directing parents, contractors, couriers, and other School visitors
- Maintaining the Reception area to a high standard ensuring it is organized, clean, and prepared for visitors
- Organizing couriers, school transportation, taxis, and bookings as required
- Ordering of stationery and organizing for the Reception area, including the storage and correct use of business cards and name badges
- Assist the School with data entry, proofreading, and ensuring functional organization as required
- Update of the telephone system’s ‘call waiting’ messages, as appropriate
- Assist with Admissions and Marketing in the following areas:
- Provide information to parents and others regarding admissions, school fees, school services, and general information
- Conduct tours with prospective families and/or providing translation services for these tours and workshops
- Attend and present at various events, including expositions, conferences, and other Admissions related events and activities
- Participate in door-to-door Marketing and Admissions campaigns and events
- Make and receive phone calls regarding Admissions and Marketing
- May require making up to 50 logged phone calls daily
- Update school records as required for student and staff attendance, visitor logs, parent phone calls, and more
- Call and email parents or guardians regarding student incidents, issues, etc. as required
- Be an effective, positive, and contributing team member to assigned work teams, including Reception, Marketing, and Admissions
- Provide leave-related cover for Reception as required
- Ensure the safety of self and others
- Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures
- Participate in the School’s activities as required
- Work harmoniously with other employees with respect and School requirements
- Maintain good ethics and professionalism that will earn respect of all customers and work colleagues
- Other related duties as required
- Covering the Admissions Officer or other employees as required during their absence
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
● Job-related experience is required.
● Experience at Schools is Preferred.
● English and Arabic fluency, with working knowledge of French desirable.
● Ability to focus on details, work with a team and independently, and act responsibly.
● Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
● Organized, focused, and able to follow instructions with attention to detail.
● Professional appearance and attitude.
