Job Description

Set Up and Maintain Servers: Configure, deploy, and maintain both on-premises and cloud-based servers (e.g., AWS, Azure). Ensure high availability and performance of all systems.
Network Security and Performance: Implement and manage security measures to protect networks and systems from cyber threats. Monitor network performance and resolve any issues to ensure system uptime.
Monitor System Health: Regularly check server health and system logs, identify potential issues, and proactively implement solutions to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot Issues: Diagnose and resolve system, hardware, and network-related problems. Act quickly to minimize downtime and keep systems running smoothly.
Manage User Access and Permissions: Administer user accounts and permissions, ensuring that only authorized personnel can access sensitive systems and data. Implement best practices for identity and access management.
Backup and Disaster Recovery: Ensure regular backups of critical systems and data, and implement disaster recovery protocols to protect against data loss or system failure.
System Updates and Patching: Regularly apply patches, updates, and security fixes to operating systems and software. Ensure all systems are up to date with the latest security patches.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Provide reports on system performance and security to management.
Collaboration with IT Teams: Work closely with development, network, and security teams to ensure systems are aligned with business needs and security requirements.

Job Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a System Administrator or similar IT role.
Hands-on experience with server management (Windows, Linux, or both) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).
Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and VPNs.
Experience with system monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
Solid understanding of backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Familiarity with IT security best practices and user management.
Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.
Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
