Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
- This role involves providing technical support for production integration services. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Apigee.
- Performing daily health checks and proactively identifying and addressing issues.
- Being on call to address any critical issues or emergencies that occur outside regular business hours.
- Troubleshooting complex integration issues, analyzing logs, and diagnosing root causes.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders.
- Adhering to service level agreements (SLAs) and operational objectives.
- Participating in incident management processes, including incident triage, resolution, and post-incident analysis.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree may be preferred but not always required.
- Technical Skills:
- Apigee: Proficiency in API management platforms, specifically Google Apigee, including experience in developing, managing, and securing APIs.
- Strong understanding of integration concepts, protocols, and standards (e.g., REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, MQTT).
- Experience with cloud integration services (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Knowledge of infrastructure components and systems, including operating systems (Linux, Windows), networking, and security.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and troubleshooting tasks.
- Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools for infrastructure and application performance management.
- Oracle Service Bus (OSB) knowledge is a plus
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 6-9 years of experience in IT with a focus on integration technologies and production support.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting complex integration issues.
- Previous experience with on-call rotations and providing 24/7 support for mission-critical systems and applications.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and IT service management processes, particularly incident, problem, and change management.
- Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as Google Apigee Certification, or equivalent certifications from other vendors
