Job Description
Receive the production plan and material requirements from the planning team.
Issue purchase orders to pre-selected international suppliers based on material demand.
Monitor and follow up on PO confirmations, lead times, and shipping schedules.
Coordinate with logistics, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
Track shipments and provide regular delivery updates to relevant departments.
Review and verify shipping documents: commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.
Ensure compliance with Incoterms and local import regulations.
Manage and update ERP systems with purchase order status, delivery dates, and receiving confirmations.
Resolve any delivery delays, quantity discrepancies, or documentation issues in coordination with internal teams.
Maintain accurate purchasing and shipping records for audits and reporting.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely payment processing and invoice matching.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration — candidates with other degrees are acceptable if they have a solid background in procurement or supply chain operations. Or Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language or Chinese Studies (mandatory).
- 1–6 years of experience in foreign purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of international procurement, shipping terms, and customs documentation.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent coordination, follow-up, and time management skills.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Chinese language proficiency is a strong plus (spoken and/or written).
