Job Description
- Conduct thorough Planned Maintenance (PM) inspections (TA1 and TA2) on mobile equipment, ensuring early detection of potential failures on assets such as haul trucks, face shovels, dozers, graders, and wheel loaders.
- Perform swing deflection measurements and custom track service (CTS) assessments on tracked machines to evaluate undercarriage condition and component wear.
- Carry out tray thickness inspections using ultrasonic testing (UT) tools to monitor structural integrity and wear progression on truck bodies and buckets.
- Operate electronic diagnostic tools (e.g., CAT ET, VIMS) to retrieve equipment performance data and fault codes for immediate troubleshooting and reporting.
- Accurately document all inspection findings and defect conditions into the CMMS system (preferably SAP), ensuring timely notification generation and support for planning actions.
- Communicate clearly with the Technical Advisor, Workshop Supervisor, and Reliability Engineer to validate inspection results and define appropriate maintenance priorities.
- Support field-based execution of minor repairs, adjustments, and component checks when safe and feasible during inspections or running checks.
- Monitor machines during operation at the Running Check phase to identify abnormal sounds, vibrations, leaks, or behavior indicative of early failure.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, including daily Take 5 risk assessments, JSA completion, and use of required PPE and equipment lockouts.
- Coordinate with service technicians and execution teams to ensure findings are understood, parts are requested if needed, and work orders are updated in real time.
- Provide technical support during commissioning of new equipment or post-maintenance verification as needed.
- Maintain proper calibration and care of inspection tools, including UT gauges, MultiTool+, IR cameras, and handheld diagnostic devices.
- Participate in reliability investigations, root cause failure analysis (RCFA), and performance reviews when required by the reliability team.
- Previous experience in working on 6040 & 6030 & 395 Excavators is a strong add on
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Driving licence preferred but not essential
- Proficient in MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Excel
- Familiar with mining practices and gold production processing
- Knowledge of mining heavy equipment and components preferred (Excavators ,Dozers , etc)
- Knowledge of safe work practices and compliance with company policies and procedures
- Strong priority setting and time management skills
- Good command of English
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Resourceful, resilient, and adaptable
Job Location & Accommodation arrangements:

(20 days onsite / 10 days off)
