Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in servicing and maintaining heavy construction equipment, including Caterpillar, Doosan, and Komatsu machinery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting routine and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic systems, and ensuring equipment reliability and uptime at project sites or workshops.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and dump trucks.
- Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Analyze equipment breakdowns, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and equipment history.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate with the procurement team for timely availability.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards during maintenance operations.
- Coordinate with operations and site teams to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks.
- Support in overhauls and major repairs as required.
- Recommend improvements to reduce downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Provide technical support and guidance to mechanics and technicians.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance (Caterpillar, Doosan, Komatsu or similar brands).
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software used in heavy machinery (e.g., CAT ET, Doosan DMS, Komatsu Komtrax).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work at construction sites or workshops as needed.
