Job Description

Job Title: Business Development and Sales Manager – Trading (LNG & Petroleum Products)

Location: Maadi, Cairo, Egypt

Industry: Oil & Gas Trading – LNG, Petroleum Products, Fertilizers

Employment Type: Full-Time

 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Development and Sales Manager – Trading to lead our trading-related activities in the Egyptian oil and gas market. The ideal candidate will have deep familiarity with EGPC and EGAS procedures, strong personal and professional relationships within these organizations, and a proven track record in handling trading of LNG, petroleum products, fertilizers, and gas derivatives.

 

This is a commercially driven role focused on securing trading opportunities through tenders and direct negotiation channels, requiring excellent communication skills, local insight, and relationship management abilities.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Market Expansion

 

Identify and pursue trading opportunities in Egypt for products including:

LNG and Ethane

Fuel oil

Gasoline and Gasoil

Jet fuel

Fertilizers and other petrochemical products

Monitor tender announcements and procurement plans by EGPC, EGAS, and other relevant entities.

Engage in market intelligence and competitor analysis to position offers competitively.

2. Relationship Management & Networking

 

Build and maintain strong working relationships with decision-makers at EGPC, EGAS, and affiliated entities.

Leverage personal networks to influence commercial outcomes and secure opportunities for the company and its international partners.

Serve as a reliable, credible point of contact for buyers and suppliers throughout the deal cycle.

3. Tender & Offer Coordination

 

Monitor, track, and respond to government tenders and RFQs for petroleum products and gas imports/exports.

Coordinate with international trading partners to structure competitive bids and proposals.

Ensure compliance with all administrative and technical requirements of the local tendering process.

4. Deal Structuring & Execution

 

Support negotiation of contract terms, pricing, delivery schedules, and technical conditions with clients and trading partners.

Work with legal, logistics, and financial departments to facilitate smooth contract execution and transaction closure.

5. Reporting & Strategy Development

 

Provide regular updates to senior management on tender outcomes, market developments, and strategic opportunities.

Contribute to the development of the trading business strategy and expansion plans in Egypt and the region.

Job Requirements

Minimum 5 to 10+ years of experience in oil & gas trading, tender management, or petroleum product sales.

Prior experience working with or within EGPC, EGAS, or closely associated organizations is strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of Egypt’s energy procurement process and trading framework.

Proven network and access to key decision-makers in EGPC and/or EGAS.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a trusted and favorable reputation among stakeholders.

Education background can vary (Engineering, Accounting, Business, etc.); the priority is on relevant experience and network.

Fluent in English and Arabic.

Based in or willing to work from Maadi, Cairo.
