Job Title: Business Development and Sales Manager – Onshore (Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals & Machinery)

Location: Maadi, Cairo, Egypt

Industry: Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Machinery & EPC Services

Employment Type: Full-Time

 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development and Sales Manager – Onshore to lead and grow our business in the onshore oil & gas and petrochemical segments. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and hands-on experience in selling industrial machinery and process equipment, as well as a well-established network within Egypt’s refinery, gas processing, and petrochemical sectors—particularly ECHEM projects and EPC contractors.

 

This role requires a proactive sales professional with solid knowledge of key machinery such as compressors, pumps, blowers, and power generation units, as well as a clear understanding of project-based sales cycles within industrial sectors.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Strategy

 

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in onshore oil & gas, petrochemical, gas processing, and industrial projects.

Develop and execute targeted business development plans focused on expanding the company’s presence in refineries, ECHEM projects, and EPC scopes.

Analyze market trends, project pipelines, and competitor activities to support strategy formulation.

2. Client & Partner Relationship Management

 

Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at petrochemical companies, refineries, gas processing facilities, and EPC firms.

Act as the liaison between international suppliers and local clients, aligning technology solutions with project needs.

Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to anticipate upcoming project requirements and position the company accordingly.

3. Product & Service Promotion

 

Lead sales and promotional activities for a range of equipment and machinery including:

Industrial compressors

Power generation systems

Pumps and blowers

Mechanical packages and related process equipment

Conduct technical discussions and presentations to showcase product capabilities and value.

Identify the most appropriate technologies for client applications in cooperation with technical partners.

4. Proposal & Tender Management

 

Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to prepare high-quality commercial and technical proposals.

Review and respond to tender requirements and RFQs from EPCs and project owners.

Support in contract negotiation, pricing strategy, and deal closure in alignment with company policies.

5. Market Representation

 

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and business meetings.

Prepare regular business reports and sales forecasts for senior management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5 to 10+ years of experience in business development, technical sales, or project sales within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or machinery sectors.
  • Strong technical knowledge of rotating equipment and packaged systems (compressors, blowers, pumps, power generation).
  • Proven experience working with refineries, ECHEM-affiliated projects, and EPC contractors in Egypt.
  • Established network of industry contacts in the petrochemical and gas processing sectors.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and proposal tools.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Maadi, Cairo.
