Job Description
Rotem SRS Egypt is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior HR Generalist to lead and manage core HR functions within our dynamic railway service operation. The Senior HR Generalist will play a strategic role in workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and HR compliance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior management and department heads to define staffing strategies, competency frameworks, and succession plans.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve job descriptions for all roles to reflect evolving business needs.
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process: planning, advertising, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Design and oversee structured onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires into the organization.
- Maintain and update the organizational structure, competency matrices, and employee training records.
- Plan, coordinate, and evaluate training and development programs to support employee growth and operational performance.
- Monitor and assess staff competency levels, identifying gaps and implementing targeted development plans.
- Oversee payroll processing, salary administration, and benefits programs with accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage employee attendance, leave administration, and workforce scheduling.
- Ensure HR policies, systems, and processes comply with Egyptian labor laws and best practice standards.
- Foster a positive workplace culture, driving engagement and retention initiatives.
- Handle complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and grievance management.
- Analyze HR metrics, turnover trends, and exit interview data to recommend strategic improvements.
- Prepare and present HR reports for executive management and external stakeholders.
- Maintain HR files, personnel records, and all sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field (Postgraduate studies or HR certifications are an advantage).
- Minimum of 7 years proven experience in HR roles, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead HR Generalist capacity.
- Strong command of Egyptian labor law, HR regulations, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS systems, recruitment platforms, and payroll management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- High level of discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
