Job Description


Industry: Steel Manufacturing
Location: Belbies Factory 
Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment, including CNC machines, overhead cranes (OHC), and material handling equipment, within a steel manufacturing facility.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans for all machinery and systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in industrial machinery, CNC equipment, and handling systems efficiently.
  • Manage the maintenance and repair of the company’s vehicle fleet, including cars and utility vehicles.
  • Collaborate with production and other departments to optimize machinery performance and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during all maintenance activities.
  • Lead and supervise the mechanical maintenance team, providing training and technical guidance as needed.
  • Maintain a well-organized spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement with suppliers.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and generate periodic performance and downtime reports.

 

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the steel manufacturing industry.
  • Expertise in maintaining and repairing CNC machines, overhead cranes, material handling equipment, and vehicle fleets.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency breakdowns effectively.

Preferred:

  • Certifications in mechanical maintenance, CNC systems, or OHC operations.
  • Previous experience managing maintenance operations in an industrial setting.
