Job Description
- Unity Design & Construction is seeking a highly qualified Technical Design Manager with an architectural background to lead the technical development of high-end architectural and multidisciplinary projects.
- This role requires a skilled architect with strong experience in design stages, technical detailing, BIM coordination, and team leadership.
- The ideal candidate will be deeply familiar with professional design processes, building systems, and project delivery methods, with a proven ability to guide teams through complex projects from concept to IFC stage.
Job Requirements
- Lead and oversee the technical development of architectural projects across all design stages (Concept, Schematic, Detailed Design, IFC).
- Manage and mentor a team of architects, BIM coordinators, and technical staff to ensure design accuracy, technical quality, and compliance with project standards.
- Implement and maintain BIM protocols and ensure efficient integration with MEP and structural disciplines.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to deliver technically sound and fully coordinated design packages.
- Review and validate drawings, specifications, BOQs, and other technical documents to ensure alignment with project scope and codes.
- Ensure design outputs meet regulatory requirements, client expectations, and constructability standards.
- Organize and lead technical coordination meetings, workshops, and interdisciplinary reviews.
- Monitor project deliverables, timelines, and resources to ensure efficient and high-quality execution.
- Proficient in Revit and BIM workflows, with hands-on experience in BIM project delivery.
- Deep understanding of building codes, design standards, and construction documentation.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
