Electrical Design Manager (LV Panel Manufacturing)

Job description

Job Purpose

To lead and manage the electrical design team in the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and timely electrical design solutions for projects. Ensures compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Management

• Lead and supervise electrical design engineers in delivering complete design packages.
• Develop design concepts and detailed engineering solutions for LV/MV electrical systems, including panels, distribution, power, and control systems.
• Approve and review electrical drawings, schematics, and BOQs.
• Ensure all designs are compliant with applicable codes (IEC, NEC, etc.) and project requirements.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with project managers, mechanical engineers & Other departments.
• Attend client and consultant meetings for design reviews, technical clarifications, and approvals.
• Ensure timely submission of electrical designs as per project schedules.

Technical Leadership

• Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous technical improvement within the team.
• Implement standard design procedures and templates for efficiency and consistency.
• Stay updated with new technologies and regulations in electrical design.
