Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop electrical system designs, layouts, and schematics for projects (e.g., power distribution, lighting, grounding, and low current systems).
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
- Conduct load calculations, cable sizing, and protective device coordination.
- Ensure designs comply with international codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and architectural teams to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
- Review and approve material submittals and shop drawings from contractors.
- Support project teams during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Provide technical guidance and solutions to resolve design and site issues.
- Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), technical specifications, and cost estimates.
- Ensure designs are delivered within budget, quality, and time constraints.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
- Proven experience (2–4+ years, depending on level) as an Electrical Design Engineer in construction, consulting, or industrial projects.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP, Dialux, etc.).
- Good understanding of electrical systems:
