Job Description

 

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Dental Sales Team Leader to drive the performance and development of our sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, coaching, and motivating a team of dental sales representatives to achieve and exceed sales targets within their assigned territory. This role combines hands-on sales with strategic team leadership, requiring a deep understanding of the dental market and a proven track record in sales management.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of dental sales representatives to foster a high-performance, results-driven culture.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate team meetings to review performance, share best practices, and strategize on market opportunities.
  • Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new sales team members.
  • Motivate the team to achieve individual and collective sales quotas.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the dental market, including setting clear objectives and KPIs for the team.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and potential challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to set realistic yet ambitious sales forecasts and budgets.
  • Ensure the team effectively utilizes CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) for pipeline management, activity tracking, and reporting.

Market & Product Expertise:

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of our dental product portfolio, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and changes in dental practices and regulations.
  • Provide product training and support to the sales team as needed.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Participate in key client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to support team members and secure large deals.
  • Help resolve complex customer issues and complaints, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and develop relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and strategic accounts within the dental community.

Reporting & Administration:

  • Prepare and present regular sales performance reports to senior management.
  • Manage team expenses and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Dentistry , or a related field. (Equivalent experience may be considered).
  • Minimum of [ 3 ] years of progressive experience in medical or dental device/product sales.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory as required.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
