Job Description
We’re looking for a proactive Business Development Manager to join our growing U.S.-focused freight agency — remotely from Egypt. You'll be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities in the U.S. freight brokerage space, developing strategic client relationships, and generating leads that convert into long-term customers.
Though listed under Cairo for visibility, this is a fully remote position aligned with U.S. time zones.
Mission for the Role:
To drive Load Star Agency’s revenue by generating qualified leads, converting them into shipping customers, and supporting consistent freight volume growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue U.S.-based shippers not currently working with us
- Generate and qualify leads through research, outreach, and CRM
- Deliver RFQs to our internal ops team once the opportunity is live
- Maintain ownership of the relationship after hand-off for future upselling
- Achieve milestones to earn recurring bonuses
- Meet KPIs: activity levels, qualified leads/month, customer conversions
Job Requirements
- Experience:
0–5 years in business development, outbound sales, or lead generation — preferably in logistics, B2B services, or U.S. freight brokerage, forwarding company, supply chain - Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or any related field is preferred but not required - Language:
Fluent spoken and written English (C1+), with confidence in communicating with U.S. clients
Technical Skills:
- Comfortable using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Pipedrive)
- Solid grasp of Google & Microsoft Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Outlook)
Sales & Communication Skills:
- Strong persuasive communication (phone, email, LinkedIn)
- Cold calling and prospecting expertise
- Skilled at researching and sourcing U.S. shipper leads
- Organized follow-up and CRM hygiene discipline
Work Setup Requirements:
- Personal laptop and quiet, private workspace (no background noise)
- Stable high-speed internet connection
- Availability to work U.S. time zones (EST/CST preferred)
