Job Description

We’re looking for a proactive Business Development Manager to join our growing U.S.-focused freight agency — remotely from Egypt. You'll be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities in the U.S. freight brokerage space, developing strategic client relationships, and generating leads that convert into long-term customers.

Though listed under Cairo for visibility, this is a fully remote position aligned with U.S. time zones.

Mission for the Role:

To drive Load Star Agency’s revenue by generating qualified leads, converting them into shipping customers, and supporting consistent freight volume growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue U.S.-based shippers not currently working with us
  • Generate and qualify leads through research, outreach, and CRM
  • Deliver RFQs to our internal ops team once the opportunity is live
  • Maintain ownership of the relationship after hand-off for future upselling
  • Achieve milestones to earn recurring bonuses
  • Meet KPIs: activity levels, qualified leads/month, customer conversions

Job Requirements

  • Experience:
    0–5 years in business development, outbound sales, or lead generation — preferably in logistics, B2B services, or U.S. freight brokerage, forwarding company, supply chain
  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or any related field is preferred but not required
  • Language:
    Fluent spoken and written English (C1+), with confidence in communicating with U.S. clients

Technical Skills:

  • Comfortable using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Pipedrive)
  • Solid grasp of Google & Microsoft Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Outlook)

Sales & Communication Skills:

  • Strong persuasive communication (phone, email, LinkedIn)
  • Cold calling and prospecting expertise
  • Skilled at researching and sourcing U.S. shipper leads
  • Organized follow-up and CRM hygiene discipline

Work Setup Requirements:

  • Personal laptop and quiet, private workspace (no background noise)
  • Stable high-speed internet connection
  • Availability to work U.S. time zones (EST/CST preferred)
