Job description
The Planning Specialist is responsible for developing, monitoring, and optimizing production schedules for low voltage (LV) panel manufacturing. The role ensures materials, manpower, and machines are aligned to meet delivery deadlines, quality standards, and production efficiency goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales orders, engineering drawings, and project priorities.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure timely availability of BOM components.
- Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and update schedules to avoid bottlenecks or delays.
- Track the status of panel assembly, testing, and delivery to ensure OTIF (On-Time-In-Full) delivery.
- Use ERP or Excel-based tools to generate reports on production capacity, material readiness, and schedule adherence.
- Identify capacity constraints and recommend solutions (e.g., overtime, rescheduling, outsourcing).
- Participate in daily production meetings to align on shifting priorities or escalations.
- Ensure integration between project milestones and factory timelines.
- Monitor and optimize planning KPIs like production lead time, material availability, and schedule compliance.
- Create weekly and monthly production planning dashboards for management reporting.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Production Engineering
- 3+ years’ experience in production planning (preferably in panel manufacturing)
- Proficiency in Excel, ERP tools (Odoo/SAP), and scheduling systems
- Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills
