Production Planning Engineer

1. Developing and maintaining production schedules and plans, including forecasting demand, determining production capacity, and scheduling production runs.

2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and manufacturing engineers to ensure that production plans are aligned with customer needs and market demands.

3. Developing and maintaining production planning documentation, including production schedules, work instructions, and quality control procedures.

4. Conducting capacity planning and making recommendations for improvements to manufacturing processes, equipment, and staffing to meet production goals.

5. Collaborating with suppliers to ensure that materials and components are available when needed, and making recommendations for improvements to supplier processes and procedures.

6. Conducting root cause analyses to identify and address issues related to production efficiency, quality, and safety.

7. Developing and implementing quality control procedures, including performing statistical process control and making recommendations for process improvements to achieve quality goals.

8. Monitoring and analyzing production data to identify areas for improvement, and making recommendations for adjustments to production plans and processes as needed.

9. Collaborating with production staff to ensure that production plans are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards.

10. Staying up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in technology, materials, and manufacturing processes, and making recommendations for improvements to existing products and processes.

11. Adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
