Key Responsibilities:

Market Development & Strategy:

  • Identify new business opportunities within the marine industry, including shipping companies, boat builders, and ports.
  • Develop comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to the marine sector to enhance brand awareness and product visibility.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.

Sales Management:

  • Grow and manage a robust sales pipeline through direct client engagement, networking, and industry events.
  • Set sales targets and develop action plans to meet or exceed them.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, and industry partners.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to maximize profitability.

Marketing Campaigns & Promotion:

  • Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including catalogs, product datasheets, and digital content.
  • Implement digital marketing initiatives such as website management, email campaigns, and social media outreach focusing on marine markets.
  • Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry conferences to generate leads and promote products.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

  • Lead and motivate the sales and marketing team, providing mentorship and training as needed.
  • Collaborate with product development and procurement teams to align product offerings with market demand.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Track sales performance and marketing campaign effectiveness.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management with insights and recommendations.

 


 

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Marine Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in sales and marketing within the marine equipment industry or related maritime sectors.
  • Deep understanding of marine products, industry regulations, and market dynamics.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop strategic plans and execute effectively.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and digital marketing tools.
  • Willingness to travel as required to industry events and client meetings.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Existing network within the marine industry.
  • Multilingual abilities are advantageous.
  • Technical knowledge of marine equipment and systems.
