Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

Integrating SEO into Product Roadmap:

  • Ensure SEO considerations are integrated into new feature development, site architecture changes, and user experience improvements.
  • Work with the product team to prioritize SEO-related initiatives that will drive organic traffic and user growth.

Identifying Growth Opportunities:

  • Use SEO insights to identify and capitalize on new growth opportunities, such as optimizing existing content, targeting new keywords, or enhancing user pathways.
  • Run experiments and tests to measure the impact of SEO optimizations on user acquisition and engagement.

Collaborating on Technical SEO:

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the maintenance of technical SEO aspects (such as site performance, crawlability, and mobile optimization).
  • Propose solutions for SEO challenges that arise from product changes or updates.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Regularly track and report on SEO performance metrics (e.g., traffic, rankings, conversions) and product-related KPIs to ensure that growth strategies are effective.
  • Adapt product strategies based on SEO trends and performance data.

SEO Education and Advocacy:

  • Act as an internal advocate for SEO, helping other product managers and teams understand its value and how it contributes to growth.

Job Requirements

Key Skills and Experience:

 Product Management Expertise:

  • Experience in managing product lifecycles, from ideation to launch.
  • Ability to prioritize product features based on user feedback, business goals, and market needs.
  • Strong understanding of Agile or Lean product development processes.

 SEO Proficiency:

  • In-depth knowledge of on-page and technical SEO, including keyword research, content optimization, link-building strategies, and SEO performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Google Analytics.
  • Understanding of how SEO influences user acquisition, engagement, and conversion rates.

Growth Mindset:

  • Ability to identify and execute growth opportunities using SEO, content strategies, and other acquisition channels.
  • Experience in A/B testing, conversion rate optimization, and funnel analysis to enhance user experience and retention.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting data to inform decision-making and optimize growth efforts.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Ability to work closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams to implement SEO best practices.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate SEO needs within broader product discussions.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders and aligning product features with overall business objectives.

Technical Aptitude:

  • Understanding of how product architecture and infrastructure (e.g., site speed, mobile optimization, structured data) impact SEO and overall product performance.
  • Familiarity with web development processes and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers.

Strategic Vision:

  • Capable of aligning SEO improvements with the company’s long-term goals.
  • Improve organic growth, user experience, and conversion through product enhancements.
