Job Description

Job Purpose

Test our software applications to ensure they meet the required standards and are free of defects before release

Key Accountabilities

  • Analyze requirements and specifications to create comprehensive test plans.
  • Develop and maintain test scripts, test data, and test environments.
  • Develop detailed, well-structured test cases based on requirements and user stories.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the product, define testing criteria and improve product quality.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing on web applications.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
  • Conduct re-testing and regression testing after defects are fixed.
  • Verify that new and existing features meet user expectations and specifications.
  • Document test procedures, test results, and issues identified during testing.
  • Provide detailed, articulate bug reports and ensure proper communication with developers.
  • Maintain test documentation and update test cases based on changes in requirements or bug fixes.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives in an Agile environment.

Job Requirements

 Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • ISTQB FL certificate is a must.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of Proven experience as a Software Tester.
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA) and defect tracking tools (e.g, Cypress).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and continuous integration processes.
  • Good knowledge of SQL; ability to write complex queries.
  • Experience in API testing using Postman.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Javascript).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to document findings clearly.
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Language Proficiency:

Excelent English and Arabic Verbal and Written.
